House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster Collector's Edition is a wonderful hidden-object game. The game's storyline talks about a "cursed gem" that is threatening people residing in the House of 1,000 Doors. Gabriel, the owner of the house, calls for detective Kate Reed to help him. You must guide Kate in her journey across various locations such as Madagascar, Tibet or Jerusalem, and help her reveal the mystic artifacts that can bring the gem to an end.
In terms of art, the game has some really nice assets. You will enjoy the multitude of elements implemented in the game, the complexity of the backgrounds accompanied by mysterious and ingenious puzzles that come up on your journey. Every scene in which you have to reveal the hidden objects is a well-built mysterious scenario. You have to keep your eyes open at all time. There are some hidden objects that don't help you as soon as you pick them up. You need to use them in order to activate or reveal different mechanisms which can be found through the 100 locations available. The in-game sounds and chilling soundtrack make their contribution to the mystic tone of the scenery as well.
Overall, the game impressed me in a pleasant way. With its beautiful animations and epic scenarios, I was really disappointed when the one-hour free-to-play trial expired. House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster Collector's Edition can mean a lot of fun for any player regardless their age and can fulfill the needs of any hidden-object game fan.
